Instructables.com is partnering with The Home Depot to bring back the Lamps and Lighting contest!



We have seen some really bright ideas come through for all kinds of lighting fixtures, and sharing them with the Instructables community is a great way to shine! We decided to up the ante and offer up great Ryobi and Husky prizes from The Home Depot, too.



Got an illuminating idea for a light fixture? Make it and publish it! We are beaming with anticipation for all of the great lamp projects Instructables authors are ready to post. For more lamps and lighting project ideas, check out The Home Depot’s DIY Workshop on Saturday, July 12, 2014, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at all local stores.

Please be sure that your entry into the contest contains original photos and text. Entries without original photos and text will be denied.

Multiple entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize. Entrants must be a citizen or resident of the United States and must be at least 18 years of age. Grand Prize Winner must be willing to travel to Atlanta, Georgia to present the winning project at The Home Depot Lighting & Electrical DIY Workshop on July 12, 2014. The Contest begins at 12 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PT), May 8, 2014. Contest closes for entries at 11:59 p.m. PT, June 9, 2014.

The winner(s) will be solely responsible for complying with any and all applicable statutes, laws (including, without limitation, common law, if applicable), rules and regulations and for bearing any personal income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, customs duties, or other taxes, fees, insurance, surcharges or other costs relating to receiving, claiming or collecting any prize.

Write an Instructable

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between May 8, 2014 and Jun 9, 2014 (11:59pm PT).

Accepting

Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.

Judging

A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
